Staff Writer

Mark Howard’s successful Australian sports podcast The Howie Games has been renewed for a sixth season.

The series, which sees ‘Howie’ interview some of the biggest names in sport, will drop on SCA’s PodcastOne this Thursday, July 4.

Listeners will hear candid and insightul conversations with Australian swimming champions, sisters Cate and Bronte Campbell, basketball legend Andrew Gaze, Tour de France star Phil Anderson, and cricketer and refugee Fawad Ahmad.

“It’s been a real thrill for me to sit down with such a varied group of athletes and chat about their incredible journeys,” Howie said.

“The Campbell sisters had me in tears when talking about their career setbacks, while Fawad Ahmed astonished me with the story of his journey that took him from fearing for his life to playing cricket for Australia,” continued Howie.

“And Scott McLaughlin’s descriptions of the power of the mind take the show into a completely different realm.”

Season Six of The Howie Games hits PodcastOne and Apple Podcasts from July 4.
