The Catch Up joins other breakfast shows at 6pm

The 6pm – 7pm hour on many stations is used as a breakfast show replay slot, nicely positioned between drive and nights. It has traditionally been used to showcase key network talent (often Sydney breakfast) to a national audience and has also been another opportunity for sales to align a client with that key talent. Of course it can also help boost late drive ratings.

The Today network have done something a little different and are packaging together the best of bits from their Sydney and Melbourne breakfast shows – Fifi & Dave / Jules, Merrick & Sophie Monk with Mel B.
