KIIS duo Kyle & Jackie O are bringing their $100K Ball Drop back to Melbourne, broadcasting their entire show live courtside from Frankston’s Centenary Tennis Club on Friday, January 30.

Now in its second year, KIIS says the grand slam giveaway will see over $100,000 in cash and diamonds dropped straight onto the court.

120 listeners from Sydney and Melbourne will gather courtside as hundreds of foam tennis balls rain down from the Kyle & Jackie O helicopter, turning the tennis court into a fast-paced scramble.

Each participant will collect two foam balls.

Every ball contains either cash or a prize, but no-one will know exactly what they’ve won until Kyle & Jackie O reveal it live on air.

Top prizes include $20,000 cash, $10,000 cash and five diamond tassel K’dor tennis bracelets valued at over $6,000 each.

Officially announcing the event this morning on air, Kyle Sandilands said “We’re back, Melbourne. And we’re ready to drop all these balls from the Kyle & Jackie O helicopter. We’re making it rain cash, diamond bracelets, Visa gift cards, you name it.”

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson said “Last year was such a smash hit, so we knew we had to come back bigger with more balls, more prizes and more chaos. Everyone is going to be walking away a winner.”

Last year’s inaugural Ball Drop attracted headlines for when it was reportedly granted eleventh-hour approval from the Civil Aviation Authority and Sandilands took issue with any suggestion the contest was unsafe, saying “We’re throwing foam balls out of a helicopter, not grenades.”

Listeners can sign up for Kyle & Jackie O’s $100k Ball Drop via the KIIS 1065 and KIIS 101.1 websites.
