It’s the Community sectors night of nights, the 2016 CBAA Community Radio Awards and entry is now open.

The CBAA Awards promote and recognise excellence in community broadcasting. They acknowledge the accomplishments of stations and their programs, initiatives or practices that improved the station’s offering to the community.

Entries for the 2016 CBAA Community Radio Awards are open until 8 May 2016  and all entries must be submitted via their online platform.

  • Best New Radio Program – Music
  • Outstanding Volunteer Contribution
  • Outstanding Small Station Award
  • Outstanding Youth Contribution

  • Excellence in Technical Services
  • Excellence in Community Participation
  • Excellence in Indigenous Engagement
  • Excellence in Ethnic & Multicultural Engagement
  • Troy Garner Excellence in Sports Programming
  • Excellence in Spoken Word, News & Current Affairs Programming
  • Excellence in Music Programming
  • Excellence in Digital Media
  • Excellence in Training
  • Most Innovative Outside Broadcast or Special Event Broadcast
  • Michael Law Award
  • Tony Staley Award

CBAA Community Radio Awards Gala Dinner will take place at the Pullman Hotel in Albert Part, Melbourne on Saturday, 12 November. Tickets will be available to purchase from 25 April. More details here.
