Survey #1 2017 results are in for Kingaroy

SCA’s Hit89.1 is the most listened-to radio station in the South Burnett locality of Kingaroy, according to the first regional survey results for 2017.

Hit owns all but one session throughout the day, boasting particularly steep margins over competitors in the Afternoon (23.7%) and Drive (30.5%).

With 14,200 people tuning into Hit89.1 each week (27.9% of the radio audience), SCA general manager Zac Nanscawen was ecstatic about the remarkable reception from radio listeners in the region.

“I’m delighted with the Kingaroy survey results,” Nanscawen said. “ It is fantastic to see that Hit89.1 in the South Burnett is so strong.”

As always, Hit’s Hamish & Andy drew strong numbers in the Drive slot with an impressive 30.5%, followed by ABC Southern QLD’s 9.8%. Resonate Broadcasting’s 4SB managed only 7.8%.

The margin is much slimmer at Breakfast, however, with Hit’s Hamish & Gabi (24.1%) taking pole position over ABC Southern QLD which recorded a noteworthy 20.5% of the Breakfast listenership.

Hit89.1 is statistically stronger amongst younger audiences in the region, with numbers gradually falling all the way down to the 65+ demo which registered a lowly 2.2%.

triple j is steady as ever throughout the day and continues to hold a key portion of the all-important under-40 demographic with 10.7%. Interestingly, that number is lower than most other regional survey results that have been released so far in 2017.
