Staff Writer

SCA’s Hit 102.5 Mt Isa is the undisputed #1 station in the latest radio survey for the mining town of Mount Isa in the Gulf Country region of Queensland.

In the 10+ category, Hit owns nearly half of the overall listenership with 47.2. The numbers are significantly one-sided for younger audiences with Hit taking 64.6 among under 40s.

Resonate Broadcasting-owned 4LM 666 and ABC North West Queensland battle it out for second place in most categories, with 4LM marginally edging out ABC by 0.1 in the 10+ category.

The breakfast and drive slots show Hit’s real dominance. Carley smashes the competition out of the water at breakfast with 50.1, compared to 4LM’s Jodie Shepherd who pulled 14.4.

Drive sees ratings-hogs Hamish & Andy breeze past 4LM and ABC, with triple j claiming third place in the session with 13.3.

Ratings results will also be released for 10 other markets in the June quarter. They are:

Kingaroy, Roma, Emerald/Central Highlands, Mackay and Cairns in QLD; Ballarat in Vic; Launceston in Tas and Port Macquarie/Kempsey, Albury and Coffs Harbour in NSW.
