Sunshine Coast survey: Mix at #1 in breakfast and drive
Mix FM is the undisputed station of choice on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, claiming #1s at both breakfast and drive.
The station sits at 17.5% for 10+ listeners, a drop of -1.6%. This leads fellow commercial stations Sea FM (13.1%) and Hot91.1 (9.9%).
Sea FM had a loss of -14.7% in the 10-17 demographic, while Hot91’s recent rebuild has ushered in growth of +7.1% among 18-24 year-olds – a thrilling result for General Manager David Graham.
“2017 has been the year we’ve rebuilt Hot91.1, and to be able to report growth today across all shifts is a fantastic win for us. Only nine months in, the Sunshine Coast clearly love The Hot Breakfast with Dave, Sam and Ash.”
The Hot91 trio is at 9.8%, jumping +1.4% and growing listenership by a total of 28%. Leading the way at breakfast is Mix’s Mark & Caroline with the pair posting a slide of -3.7% to 16.3%, while triple j’s Ben & Liam achieved a strong gain at breakfast with an upturn of +1.7%.
EON Broadcasting have all bases covered in the survey. Mix FM is #1 Over 40 and Sea FM hold #1 Under 40.
“It’s great to see such a positive result for the talented on air teams who continue to connect so well with the Sunshine Coast community,” said Rod Brice, group content director, EON Broadcasting.
Triple J #1 25-39. More Ed Sheeran needed?
No Zinc in the survey? How come the Brisbane stations get in but not Zinc, when it’s based on the Sunshine Coast? What a croc.
