Spectacular night of celebrations for Star 104.5’s 20th anniversary

Reporter

The Central Coast’s Star 104.5 celebrated its 20th anniversary in glamorous style last Friday night, with a cocktail party for 250 guests held in the ballroom of the Mercure Kooindah Waters Resort in Wyong.

The special event was held to thank Star 104.5 staff, clients and partners for their support over the past twenty years.

Hosted by Star 104.5 Breakfast announcer Gina Jeffreys and Program Director Shayne Sinclair, the night featured a who’s who of industry VIPs, as well as a stunning acoustic performance by Samantha Jade and her band.

There were speeches from long-serving General Manager Paul ‘Moltz’ Moltzen – who has worked at the station for seventeen years – along with Nova Entertainment CEO Peter Charlton, who travelled from Nova’s Pyrmont HQ for the event.

The evening featured special video messages from Nova talent Fitzy, Wippa and Kate Ritchie, along with Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel and Smallzy – who started his radio career at Star 104.5.

There was also an amusing video from Star 104.5 Breakfast announcer Matt Baseley, who was unable to co-host the event with Gina as planned due to an eleventh hour Covid diagnosis.

Among the other attendees were Creative Director Matt Lygoe, Client Executive Donna Lalor and Audience Engagement Manager Lauren Montgomery, COO Peter Colosimo and Chief People Officer Amanda Bollans, Nova’s Sydney Workday announcer Adam Price and TV presenter Nathan Foley.

Their winning Drive host Hayden Else deserves a mention, his music based drive shift out rates the networked dross from SCA by a country mile.
