SEN’s Australian Open Line-Up

Today SEN has unveiled its commentary line up for its exclusive coverage of the 2022 Australian Open, presented by Kia.

Broadcasting every session live from the Rod Laver Arena bunker, SEN tennis expert Brett Phillips will be joined by the likes of 12-time doubles champion Mark Woodforde, former English tennis player Mark Petchey, much-loved tennis broadcaster Robbie Koenig and respected coach and commentator Roger Rasheed.

Current Australian players Luke Saville and Matt Ebden will also be involved, as well as leading international broadcasters and journalists Jenny Drummond and Stephanie Myles.

SEN’s coverage will also feature for the first time New York Times tennis correspondent Christopher Clarey, one of the preeminent voices in tennis media.

Additionally, ‘Dwayne’s World’ will be live from Melbourne Park for the first week of the tournament as Dwayne Russell interviews the biggest names in tennis as the event unfolds.

Tennis fans will not miss a minute of the action through the Kia presents AO Radio on the SEN app, which offers live commentary from 11am each morning up until the last ball of the day, sitting alongside SEN’s nightly coverage from Rod Laver Arena.

New in 2022, SEN’s Australian Open coverage will be broadcast in more places than before. Fans in New Zealand on SENZ, Queensland on SENQ and in Hobart on SEN Hobart will all have access for the first time to comprehensive coverage of the first Grand Slam of the year.

Sports Entertainment Network head of radio content, Sam Thompson, said it was an honour to bring fans nonstop tennis action for the next two weeks.

“The build-up to this Australian Open has been huge and there’s mass interest in how the women’s and men’s tournaments will play out,” Thompson said.

“Here in Australia, we are really excited to get behind Ash Barty and the host of Australians hoping to go deep into the tournament. The Barty party will be in full swing on SEN.”

“The SEN and SENZ stations will not miss a moment and the SEN app has tennis fans covered from all angles. We can’t wait.”
