Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) has teamed up with McDonald’s to help ensure every match of the AFL’s historic Gather Round is now a sell-out, purchasing the remaining 500 tickets for tonight’s Richmond v Sydney game.

SEN’s Adelaide audience will reap the rewards by simply listening all day on SEN 1629am, SEN 1116am and the SEN App for their chance to snap up the free tickets, which can be collected directly from Studio Lumo at 1 King William St, Adelaide.

The hype of the highly anticipated Gather Round has been embraced by the SEN audience, with several marquee programs, including SEN Breakfast, Whateley and Dwayne’s World, all broadcasting live from Adelaide during the week.

SEN Chief Executive Officer Craig Hutchison says he is thrilled to team up with McDonald’s and give the SEN audience access to what has quickly become one of the most in-demand AFL events in recent memory.

“Gather Round has been nothing short of a huge success, and it’s a credit to the AFL and the South Australian government. SEN has really embraced the concept and it’s great to work with McDonald’s and snap up the remaining tickets to ensure a sell-out.”

“Our SEN 1629am audience will now have exclusive access to these in-demand tickets in what will be a great build-up to the Friday night blockbuster.”

South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas says “This is a massive weekend for our city and our state. All of South Australia and really the whole country has got behind Gather Round in Adelaide because Australian football brings people together. It has set the city alight and to have all nine games officially sold out is incredible.”

“I want to thank everyone for their support and thank you to SEN which will give away the few last remaining tickets to tonight’s Richmond-Sydney match to lucky listeners today who can be part of history at Adelaide Oval.”

AFL CEO Gill McLachlan says “South Australia has turned it on. Gather Round is off to a flyer, we are officially sold out and with thanks to our great partners at SEN and Macca’s, the station will give away the last few tickets for fans across the day, so as many fans can be part of history at Adelaide Oval tonight.”
