SEN break digital consumption records in August 

Sports Entertainment Network are celebrating after showing August has been the biggest month to date for SEN’s digital content consumption.

Several digital records were broken at SEN throughout August, with records including live streaming, news article views and podcast unique listeners.

For the first time, SEN’s digital platforms achieved over 2 million live streams, a 21% increase MoM and an 11% YoY increase. 

Growth in live streaming was significant in NSW and Queensland, which saw YoY increases of 47% and 42% respectively. 

SEN’s news article views were equally encouraging across both the SEN website and Apple News. A new record of over 15 million news article views across both platforms was set during August, up 20% MoM and 65% YoY.  

The SEN audience are also consuming more podcasts. In addition to 4.8 million downloads, over 592,000 unique listeners explored podcasts available via SEN, a new record and a 64% YoY increase.

  • New record for live streaming, with 2,106,000 streams throughout August, up 11% YoY.
  • Live streaming growth was significant in NSW and Queensland, increasing 47% and 42% YoY.
  • New record for news article views with 15,164,000 throughout August, up 65% YoY.
  • New record for unique podcast listeners with 592,000 throughout August, up 64% YoY resulting in 4.8M podcast downloads throughout August.
  • New record for unique website users, with over 1.8M throughout August, up 6% YoY.
  • New record for minutes streamed, with over 83M minutes streamed throughout August, up 19% MoM and 15% YoY.
  • 11.6M video views across the SEN website, app and social media platforms throughout August.
