Season 3 of The Missing Australia podcast about to launch

Reporter

News Corp Australia’s on-demand audio arm NewsCast will this Sunday launch the next season of its true crime podcast The Missing Australia, investigating unsolved missing persons cases across the country.

Every year in Australia, 38,000 missing persons reports are made. While many are found, thousands are left with no answers.

Former policeman Meni Caroutas, host of The Missing Australia podcast, relies on the simple truth that someone, somewhere, knows something about these missing people. These are cases that can be solved and the podcast sets out to do that.

In season three, The Missing Australia also details potential breakthroughs in two cold cases that were featured on the last season of the podcast in 2023.

NewsCast’s Editorial Director, Audio Dan Box says “Meni’s sense of justice and passion to find answers for these families is what drives this podcast.”

“I’m proud of what he has achieved, and that we have been able to give him the production support to take that work to a wider audience through News Corp Australia’s mastheads and our industry-leading CrimeX channel on Apple Podcasts.”

Caroutas says “I want to express gratitude to all our listeners who have come forward with information about these cases. Their bravery and dedication are making a real difference.”

Subscribers of the News Corp Australia’s state mastheads and CrimeX+ in Apple Podcasts will have first access to episodes of The Missing Australia as they are released each Sunday.
