SEA FM go that extra mile

SEA FM in Mackay have raised just over $37,000 with their 'Give Me Five for Kids' June fundraiser.

The event helps bring smiles to the faces of sick kids at the Mackay Base and Proserpine Hospitals.

In the Daily Mercury, Mackay Hospital Foundation manager Mayte Sanchez said…

"The SEA FM team has done a terrific job and our community and businesses that got behind the Give Me Five for Kids campaign have to be congratulated. It is fantastic to see the support that SEA FM receives from our community."

SEA FM's Morning Crew, Jay and Dave, said…

"It is an exhausting time as we invest many hours into the organisation of this big event, but it is very rewarding as all the funds raised here stay here for our children's services at the Base and Proserpine hospitals."

Apparently Jay even did a night shift in the children's ward. Of his effort, Nurse unit manager Helen Alvers said…

"It was very touching"
