Scott Mayman returns to Air News 

Industry veteran Scott Mayman has returned to the Australian Independent Radio News (Air News) team today, joining the team once again after stints in Kansas City, Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra. 

Known as being one of the industry’s all-rounders, Scott has covered roles from news presenter to director, host, teacher and mentor in his career spanning nearly 40 years. 

Scott returns to Air News to cover state and territory news for SA, Tasmania, WA, the Northern Territory and the ACT.

“I’m thrilled about providing local news for local communities,” Scott said.

“Air News fills a much-needed gap in localism that so many radio stations have abandoned. Even in capital cities, a lot of that localism has been forgotten about as some outlets focus on filling gaps with national content.”

Scott spoke with Radio Today about his 30 years in radio in 2015, and answered 10 questions in 2016.
