Schwartz Media to sell flagship daily news podcast 7am

Daily news podcast 7am is being sold by its publisher Schwartz Media to Solstice Media, publisher of The New Daily website.

Staff were yesterday informed of the sale, with Solstice Media to formally take ownership on July 1.

It’s understood Solstice Media intends to continue with 7am’s current team and format.

Since The New Daily is owned by super funds, will this mean the 7am podcast won’t be covering any stories that are critical of the superannuation industry? While I like The New Daily, I have noticed in the past their coverage of new stories dealing with superannuation are defensive
