SCA’s event for next advertising leaders

Staff Writer

Late last week, Southern Cross Austereo in Perth held a Mexican fiesta on its station rooftop to support the advertising industry's young professionals.

SCA's Perth GM Linda Wayman said:

"SCA works very closely with other sectors of the communications industry, particularly advertising, and every day our team interacts with talented young professionals with creative and fresh new ideas."

"They are often overlooked in favour of more senior executives for networking events, but we see the importance in giving younger people opportunities to mingle outside of their normal circles to foster strong relationships that will benefit them in building their careers.

"Emerging high-achievers can purchase tickets to networking events, but we decided to celebrate their talent with an exclusive, free event designed with their future careers in mind."

"These are the guys who will be the next advertising leaders in WA and as a broadcaster committed to upholding strong relationships within the communications industry, it is in our best interest to support them."

The Mix 94.5 / 92.9 rooftop held the Mexican fiesta with around 100 guests aged under 30.
