The SCA Media Academy

Staff Writer

Southern Cross Austereo in partnership with Charles Sturt University has set up the SCA Media Academy.

With funding and places for up to forty staff members each year, the intensive three month course  has been custom built by CSU and targets staff who do not have a media communications degree, ranging from those who have recently started with yje company to those with three years’ experience in the industry.

Grant Blackley, CEO of SCA said: “In the almost thirty years I’ve spent in the media industry, I’ve consistently found it a rewarding, challenging and exciting place to be and I’m keen to extend opportunities for our employees to learn more about our industry.

“Investing in its people, SCA is providing a large number of our employees with the opportunity to learn more about the industry they have chosen for their career.”

The subjects studied may be credited towards a Bachelor of Communications degree at Charles Sturt University.
