SCA has announced a series of senior national content appointments across the HIT Network, recognising the depth of experience and strengthening the HIT leadership team.

Ellie Angel-Mobbs has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Operations & Announcer, a role that provides leadership across the network, supporting announcers and contributing to a range of national initiatives.

Having been in radio full-time for 22 years and with on-air experience and proven operational leadership, Angel-Mobbs brings significant value to the HIT Network. She will continue in her role as Assistant Content Director and announcer at B105, supported by the ongoing development of the content team to allow greater focus on her national responsibilities.

Tim Lee has been appointed HIT Network Assistant Content Director – Creative & Announcer. With more than 20 years’ experience at SCA, Lee’s creative vision, storytelling strength and collaborative approach have helped shape the  network’s sound.

Lee’s new role recognises the impact he has on the network’s national creative direction. He will continue in his role as Assistant Content Director and Announcer at Fox FM, with support from Operations Manager and announcer Brad Wood.

Kiri Martin has been promoted to HIT Network Senior Music Director / Event Partnerships & 2DayFM Assistant Content Director. With more than 16 years’ experience in music, including a decade as Senior Music Director with SCA, she provides national leadership across music strategy and event partnerships. In her expanded role, Martin will work closely with Amanda Lee, Head of HIT Metro Content, to drive the station’s strategic direction.

Her ongoing contribution to 2DayFM’s content direction further strengthens her role within the network’s broader content leadership.

Amanda Lee, Head of Hit Metro Content, said “HIT is famous for delivering beloved shows, the biggest hits and unforgettable moments for women 25–54, driven by exceptional people. From relatable, locally connected shows that tap into pop culture and music, to major events like Fridayz Live, our content leaders sit at the centre of everything we do. As a network, we’re proud to recognise and promote outstanding talent from within, giving our leaders the opportunity to grow, learn and help shape the next phase of HIT. With fun, relatability and local connection at our core, this marks an exciting chapter as we collaborate to create even more powerful multi-platform moments.”

Angel-Mobbs, Lee and Martin will work closely with Amanda Lee, Head of Hit Metro Content, and the network’s metro Content Directors, to drive the Hit Network’s national strategy. All appointments are now in effect.

@amanda – what’s your point? I genuinely can’t work out whether your comment was in support of these appointments or otherwise.

Perhaps you are suggesting that it will be a really effective leadership team, due to the strength of the relationships that they have established over the many years of working together?

Perhaps this your Julian Assange moment and you are privy to information about the veracity of the recruitment process and should this information be more widely known, it could reshape the industry, resulting in improved transparency for years to come (in which case I applaud your bravery for acting in the capacity of a whistleblower. Truly, bravo to you)?

Perhaps (and if this is the case, I’m seriously impressed), you are the actual Amanda Lee and you believe that these important leadership appointments are not receiving enough industry buzz that they deserve. Unwilling to accept that this news will go by somewhat unnoticed, you devise a fool proof plan to create a little controversy in the comments section of Radio Today, all the while knowing that some folks in our industry (such as myself) lack the maturity to just let the comment sit quietly and will take your bait (as I have). If that is the case, then here we are and well played you!

Perhaps, like me, you are a person with nothing to do and all day to do it, and are seemingly unable to just read a comment, smile and reflect on how wonderful it is that 3 great people from the industry where leadership opportunities have become extremely limited, have been lucky (and capable, hardworking, committed) enough to get their next exciting career opportunity?

Amanda, you are an enigma to me.

Congratulations to Tim, Ellie and Kiri on your new opportunities! Very exciting times ahead for you all!

Being given an overdue acknowledgment for the work they’ve ALREADY been doing.

They’ve been carrying the whole network on their backs for a long time, just without official network titles!

You have to ask yourself, what is the head of the Hit Network actually doing, when these 3 ACD’s are doing literally EVERYTHING?

What are you actually saying, “Amanda”?

Are you seriously suggesting that hiring people you already know are capable, reliable and proven is somehow unethical? That’s called knowing who can actually do the job. Often otherwise referred to as “Leadership”

They perform. The results are visible, and the capability is obvious. Pretending otherwise just makes it a little embarrassing for you in front all us all.

Undermining people who are clearly delivering isn’t constructive, it’s petty.

Now, off you toddle pet
