Ronnie Wood cleans up in UK awards

The Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards have been run and won in the UK, you can see all the winners, plus a number of interviews on Radio Today in the UK here.

However a couple of notable winners;

For the second year running, Rolling Stones axeman Ronnie Wood has won two categories for his radio work. 

He won the specialist programme of the year for his radio show on Absolute Radio, and his weekly guest slot was named best feature.

The station Ronnie's show is broadcast on, Absolute, won the station of the year award. His show is available for broadcast in Australia through syndication group 'Somethin' Else' (see here). 

Other award winners were Classic FM who won the Gold Award, and XFM's Danny Wallace won presenter of the year.

Adele won the award for most-played artist of the year on commercial radio, whilst Jessie J won the Breakthrough Artist award.
