RN head out for Politics in the Pub

Sunday Extra presenter Jonathan Green is heading out of the ABC Radio National studios to broadcast live from local pubs in Melbourne for 'Politics in the Pub'.

For 3 weeks from Thursday August 22, Green will referee a panel of political fanatics in an hour long show.

Green says, "When I think politics, I think tough-minded analysis teamed with entirely fatuous triviality. And that's the balance we're trying to strike with Politics in the Pub.

I like to think of it as a cross between Q&A and Deal or No Deal with the added X-factor that only a ready supply of beer and artisan pear cider can create."

Politics in the Pub will be on Radio National from 8pm on August 22, 29 and September 5 in the lead up to the election.
