Riverland radio stations get a new GM

Grant Broadcasters has appointed Greg Bakker as GM for local radio stations based in South Australia’s Riverland region he starts in the role on February 27.

The radio network owns a number of stations in The Riverland region including 5RM, Magic931 and KIX Country, all of which are now under the leadership of Bakker.

Grant Broadcasters Regional GM for VIC/SA Peter Upton said, “Greg brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise with an impressive track record in helping local businesses achieve success through marketing and a focus on localism and community involvement.

“Greg is well credentialled to guide our stations in the future,” he added.

Previously, Bakker managed Grant Broadcasters stations in Port Lincoln for over 5 years before moving to a role in NSW. He has more than two decades of radio management experience.

“When this opportunity arose, I couldn’t resist the temptation to get back to regional South Australia and work again with this very progressive radio company,” Bakker said regarding his appointment.
