Ray Hadley: Coming to you live from the Gold Coast

Ray Hadley has left NSW for greener pastures, heading north to broadcast his 2GB and 4BC Mornings show from Nine’s new studio on the sunny Gold Coast.

The bespoke studio, put together just for Hadley, is located on tourist strip Cavill Avenue in picturesque Surfer’s paradise, which is quieter than usual thanks to travel restrictions.

Hadley is broadcasting from the Gold Coast to mark the opening of the Queensland border, though the border has since closed for Sydney residents from coronavirus hotspots.

The Australian reports that Hadley had always planned to broadcast his show from Queensland more frequently in lead up to the state election in October.

The veteran broadcaster will be coming to you live from the GC for at least the next two weeks, with plans to do one week a month in the sunshine state for the foreseeable future.

He gave listeners a look at his incredible view from the studio. “I may never come back to Sydney to broadcast ever again,” he commented.
