Staff Writer

We’re back!

After a somewhat disastrous week last week, the Radio Today Tonight podcast has returned to normal programming.

In this jam-packed episode, we cover the first radio ratings of the year, and how the commercial content bosses have reacted to the surprising numbers.

Plus, we look at what’s going on behind the scenes at KIIS in Melbourne following a number of notable staffing changes at the Jase & PJ Breakfast show. Can the show last the distance?

All this and more in this week’s episode of Radio Today Tonight.

Radio Today Tonight is back for 2021, coming to you each Thursday (well, mostly) and mixing the biggest news of the week, along with a discussion of all the personalities, politics and pressures involved in the audio industry.

It will be jointly hosted by Radio Today editor Vivienne Kelly and publisher Jake Challenor.

Subscribe to Radio Today Tonight now on AppleAcastSpotify, Google, or iHeartRadio.

Nice podcast. Jase and Kate for KIIS breakfast in 2022 Mark my words. You would have to ask how many failed lineups has Duncan put into Melbourne. It is probably more than failed shows Gemma has put into Sydney on 2dayfm. At what point are the programmers accountable for putting on and then pulling off shows that just don’t work ?
Your points about Greg Byrnes and 2GB
‘ going younger ‘ are very interesting. He clearly doesn’t understand that AM radio, technology that is now 100 years old simply will not attract listeners under 60. He should stop embarrassing himself with stupid statements like this to the press.
