Massive drop for Deb Knight on 2GB afternoons from first place to fifth – wow!
Wow, big drop for 973 Brisbane. Not sure how much they paid for Kip for it doesn’t seem great value now. I listened last week and it’s very bland radio, nothing bad or annoying, just very vanilla. I personally don’t think Kip has added anything to the show’s content. Robyn is very much the content creator and driver of the show.
And Radio Today – please pass on to your team that linking the survey results to Google Docs means it’s blocked in some corporate organisations (mine) and when I look on my phone the page refreshed a few times whenever I tried to zoom in on the results. This never happened in the past with this site.
Thanks @exradiostar. Not sure what happened with the google embedded charts – we will get our techs on to it.
READERS: Did anyone else have this problem?
Please update the logo for 96FM on the bar chart.
Great result for the hard working, local Perth team at 96FM.
KIIS Brisbane…wow big drop….and new leader at Perth, well done 96FM. We are starting to see consequences of rebranding MMM Perth and MiX…not doing well…and poor 2DayFM, little bit up. Melbourne KIIS doing great job. Hands down to GOLD….it looks like they doing something good there… KISS Sydney- Kylie and Jackie O fake studio fight payed off….
Never seems to change and that’s dissapointing especially the ones lagging behind also on another note is this publication responsible for the Dab+ radio digital ratings survey as well!
@Remington, yes, CRA/GfK does also publish the DAB+ ratings. Find details here https://radioinfo.com.au/news/the-80s-stations-lead-the-way-on-dab/
Only market Nova do well in now is Brisbane. Knocked off in Perth and Sydney is flatlining. Fox and Gold keep beating Nova in Melbourne. Adelaide could go either way this year. Despite all the press, hype, big cash contesting Nova is starting to look like a patch up job, hanging together with band aids. What happened to Smooth the market leader, getting trounced by WS and GOLD. Smooth not looking too good either. 2Dayfm will grow and further weaken Smooth, they might have to pay Robbie Williams big bucks to make another ad for them.
same old same old really, WS breakky the same result for the last 2 surveys
I have to wonder about these digital ratings. I really like the Australia Today show that Steve Price does when it’s live, but if I’m reading the Vic DAB+ ratings right, the dedicated channel has its highest ratings on the weekend? Which is just replaying the Friday breakfast show on repeat? Who listens to that on a Sat and Sunday multiple times? Doesn’t make much sense to me. Given DAB+ penetration in reality is still quite low, are the survey participants so few that the ratings don’t mean much?
Now if SCA got some of the free agent news talk broadcasters (or even gave a chance to some of its talented people in local stations) I could imagine they’d get some real consistent listeners on that station.
Please go back to the old format or at least seperate #1 FM/AM spots for breakfast and drive. I’m sure most of your readership are primarily interested in how FM are performing. You guys always included #1 FM breakfast for over 10 years.
OK, Done!
Unfortunately not all radio stations are on these lists as you have to pay to be part of the ratings. FRESHFM in Adelaide rates above some of these stations.
Not surprised Deb Knight has slipped down to 5th spot. Such a boring and no substance show. I switched off months ago and now listen to 2SM with Brent Bultitude
Honestly the Adelaide Mix show is second division at best. Listened a number of times. Sounds cluttered, guy in there not funny. No need for anchor, Erin is star of show and she sounds washed out, drab topics after 7, zero localism at all. Music good and mix music improved. However show doesn’t spark much interest
Hey Duncan, here is honest thoughts of Mix 1023 Bfast
Show is too busy. Ali as lead and you have anchor. Too much. Have panel op no need for anchor to announce what is coming up.
Guy isn’t funny at all. Why? Comedian sounds out of touch and takes lame pots at end.
Erin is the Star of show.
No localism at all. Production, average.
Second league sounding, what is SA talking about and what is missing. No gel to show. Keep it clean with 3 voices not 4.
Music better, sounds good. Overall improvement in the last few months.
