A loyal, stable audience. Sounds pretty attractive to me.

I still think it’s crazy ARN will sell 4KQ. No. 2 station in the 3rd biggest city in Australia. They’d be better off selling River and Hot 91.

I just think 2Day Fm just needs to give the breakfast show a little more time to find an audience.

Give it another 3 or 4 years and then we might start to see it pick up a bit

Very good survey in Sydney for ARN. Both their stations WS and KIIS know their audiences and delivery consistently and with strong engagement. Unlike the SCA twin disasters that are 2Day and 2MMM … SCA are utterly clueless with both and soooo not engaging!

Someone has screwed up with the music on Nova. Nova in Melbourne and Sydney are now 6TH and triple J beat them in some key demo’s. How is their business model sustainable with these ratings. It’s not as if they have much competition except for K&J
in Sydney. 2Day, 101.1, Triple M are not rating well so it’s not as if they have strong competition anymore. CHR stations worldwide always rate at or near the top so what’s going on why can’t Nova get the music right ? Is it really that hard ?

2DAYFM should just play music in breakfast. That $5 million show will never rate. Waste of shareholders money. And I read Hughesy is moving to Sydney, sure I’ll believe that when it happens.

Actually @Tom, CHR stations are struggling in most markets these days. They are usually nowhere near the top of ratings in North American cities. AC, Soft AC and Classic Hits are dominating the ratings in most major US and Canadian cities. Australia is just following suit.

Maybe if SCA had kept or promoted any of the deserving women in the music and content teams they’d be rating better with their female targets.

Think there’s a Nova Perth frequency typo in this story.

With Phil Dowse calling the shots in Adelaide and Melbourne for ARN, will this leave Duncan to the former Grants regional markets ? ARN Sydney stations look after themselves.

@ Charles Tuna A “loyal, stable audience. Sounds pretty attractive to me.”

I’m sure their very excited to have an audience of 10 listeners.

Why do you show the No.1 FM station ahead of the No.1 AM station and same for Breakfast sessions? In the key markets of Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, the leading AM is higher overall than the leading FM, yet by listing FM above AM, you seem to have a perception that FM is more important than AM.
