Radio lends a hand for Perth’s Telethon

Staff Writer

Telethon in Perth is a massive yearly event that helps raise money for the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children.

It pulls some big names too. In 1985 Michael Jackson attended and performed for Telethon. This year, the telecast crossed live to Sir Elton John's concert at the Perth Arena where he played Tiny Dancer, Candle in the Wind, Crocodile Rock and I'm Still Standing.

Local radio personalities were there lending their support and helped Telethon raise nearly $17 million !

Mix 94.5's Dean Clairs, Shane McFarlane and Kymba Cahill from The Big Couch…

Nova 93.7's Nathan, Nat & Shaun performed Gangnam Style. Yes it's them up the back in the dark, hiding from the camera's 😉

Lisa, Paul & Baz from 92.9 were also out in full support (click to enlarge photos).

Burgo from 6IX also appeared on the panel with Lisa & Paul in that last photo.

They all contributed in their own way to the success of Telethon 2012. Congrats !!!
