Radio Copy Paste Magazine to close its virtual office doors

After a successful year-long run, Radio Copy Paste Magazine has announced it will discontinue the publication, with Issue 6 marking the final edition of the digital magazine for radio and creative professionals.

Publisher Earl Pilkington says that following a series of discussions among the international editorial team over recent weeks, differences regarding the magazine’s future direction led to the decision to cease publication.

“This wasn’t the outcome I had hoped for,” said Earl, who has more than 40 years of experience across radio, television, newspapers, public relations and web design.

“Radio Copy Paste Magazine exceeded my expectations in terms of downloads and engagement. It’s been one of the most rewarding projects of my career, and saying goodbye to it is genuinely difficult to do.”

“I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who wrote for us, downloaded and read, sent feedback and reached out to us – thank you!”

Despite the magazine’s closure, the Radio Copy Paste brand will continue through several channels:

  • All six issues of the magazine will be preserved in a permanent archive at www.radiocopywriters.com
  • The website will continue operating with full access to tools and resources for radio professionals
  • Editor Earl Pilkington will continue publishing eBooks and is preparing to release physical books as well

“While the magazine chapter is closing, our commitment to supporting radio copywriters hasn’t changed,” said Earl. “The resources that made Radio Copy Paste valuable are still there, and they will continue, but not in a magazine format.”

The decision brings to a close a publication that served the radio and creative industries with practical insights, professional tools, fun, humour and industry commentary over six issues.
