Over the past month Triple M has asked listeners to vote in its Greatest Of All Time (G.O.A.T) countdown, and now Queen has been named in top spot.

Across the month, Triple M played the top songs voted in from each artist or band, with INXS, Cold Chisel, The Beatles and the Rolling Stones all firming as popular choices in recent weeks.

“Queen are the Greatest Of All Time!! Agree..? Disagree..? Angry..? Delighted..? Thank you all for your HUGE number of votes. We love your passion for music – because that’s just how we feel about it too,” said Triple M across its socials.

Queen were also recently voted The Greatest Live Act of All Time by Absolute Radio listeners in the UK.

I’m s orry but Foo Fighters at 3 ? …..nuh not on a GOAT countdown. With bands like Floyd , Zeppelin, etc I agree holeheartedly but not Foo Fighters…..yes they’re a great band but nowhere near the bands in that top 10

Pick the odd ones out – Nirvana had two albums, Greenday are overrated, Metallica have one album that is played on MMM, plus an album of covers. Foo Fighters have proved to be long lasting but shouldn’t be at 3. If Elton John is in, what about Billy Joel? Shows you have to have either died recently or been in a biopic.
