Prime Radio Brekky changes

Staff Writer

There has been some movements in the Breakfast roles at two of Prime Radio's Queensland stations.

Tony McManus has resigned from 4CA's Breakfast role in Cairns after only 6 months. McManus is planning to return to news/talk radio, and has cited disagreements with management over the direction of the show as the reason for his resignation.

Replacing him on 4CA is current 4RO Breakfast host Michael J Bailey (pictured). During the period that dmg owned 4CA in Cairns, Bailey was a long-serving announcer on that station, and is a familiar voice to 4CA listeners.

In Rockhampton, the new Breakfast Announcer on 4RO is Jason McLean who has most recently been with 2CS-FM on Coffs Harbour, and has worked in the market previously.

As a footnote, at the time of writing neither the 4CA or 4RO websites have been updated with their new lineups at this stage; but that's probably okay, the whole internet thing won't take off, so listeners won't notice!
