Power FM SA’s Craig & Chels pull off the ultimate April Fools’ Day stitch-up

Radio Today saw (and dodged) our fair share of April Fools’ Day pranks yesterday (yes, Triple M Sydney, we’re looking at you!)

But one particularly ambitious gag took the cake, with Power FM SA Breakfast duo Craig Pitman and Chelsea Barber going all out to convert the station to its ARN alter-ego KIIS.

This was no mean feat.

In order to pull off this particular stitch-up, traffic intro sweepers had to be updated – along with all the internal station branding.

Social media pics were changed, KIIS logos were printed – KIIS merch was even made, to honour Craig and Chelsea’s ‘brand new show.’

Later came the big reveal and reassurance for any worried listeners.

“To put anyone at ease – we are not rebranding to KIIS.”
