Triple M still on top in Port Macquarie radio ratings

The market has an updated picture of what’s happening with Port Macquarie’s radio stations, with XTRA Insights releasing the region’s radio ratings for the first time since 2017.

The last time ratings came out in May 2017, Triple M Mid North Coast was on top, with 34.6% of people saying they listened to the station the most. This survey, it was down slightly to 31.8%, however it remained at the top of the pile.

In second position was SCA stablemate, Hit 102.3 and 105.1, which was down from 24.6% last survey to 21.5%.

The ABC’s triple j was the station to gain the most traction in the market, climbing 4.6 points to 13.5%.

It was a similar story in Breakfast, with Triple M’s Strawny sitting in first place with 31.6%, down from last survey’s 34.6%. Triple j again experienced a climb in the slot, up 2.7 points to 12.4%.

Most stations in the region actually had growth in their cumulative audiences, with Triple M up 5,500 to 62,800, and Hit up 1,800 to 43,600.

The release of the data for Port Macquarie was delayed due to the floods in New South Wales.
