Podcast audiences hungry for more

SCA says the latest Australian Podcast Ranker results show podcast audiences are consuming more content across a variety of genres.

The Hamish & Andy podcast on LiSTNR topped the Australian Podcast Ranker as the LISTNR Podcast network achieved a new record in monthly listeners.

LiSTNR podcasts including It’s a Lot with Abbie Chatfield, The Howie Games, Rush Hour with JB and Billy, The Scorecard with Liam Flanagan, The Briefing and Just The Gist all made the Top 20 and 7am was again the top news podcast.

SCA Digital Audio General Manager Grant Tothill says “LiSTNR is continuing to invest in co-creation podcast production with well-known podcast creators and domestic and international partners, to ensure many more exciting new titles to come.”

He says LiSTNR is growing at a rapid rate.

“As streaming hours and time spent listening increase and with a growing, diversified content slate including music channels, radio, and podcasts, there are more and more reasons for Australians to make LiSTNR a part of their everyday life and for advertisers to reach new audiences.”
