Peter Dutton talks Trump on Nova 100’s Jase & Lauren

This morning on Nova 100’s Jase & Lauren, Jase Hawkins, Lauren Phillips and Clint Stanaway chatted to Opposition Leader Peter Dutton about Victorian crime, nuclear power … and why he believes Donald Trump is avoiding our PM.

Lauren asked the Liberal leader how he thinks he himself would go dealing with the US President on Australia’s behalf.

Mr Dutton believes his previous experience as a police officer, Defence Minister, Home Affairs Minister and Assistant Treasurer would hold him in good stead.

 “I think I’ve got the experience and the ability to stand up for our country and to say, okay, you’re about America first. That’s great, but I’m about whatever best deal I can get for our country.”
