OzPod 2016: Australian Podcast Conference

Staff Writer

Friday September 30th  is International Podcast Day and all things pod will be celebrated at OzPod 2016: the Australian Podcast Conference.

Held at the ABC at Ultimo in Sydney, it’ll be a day for the podcast, media, advertising and broadcast industries to escape the studio or office and meet with peers to discuss all the things that matter in the podcast world – distribution, recording, marketing, collaborating, revenue, talent development and delivery.

Some of Australia’s most successful podcasts and networks including: the ABC’s Conversations’ Richard Fidler, KIIS 101.1’s Meshel Laurie, Mamamia’s Monique Bowley and Jon Tjhia from Melbourne’s Wheeler Centre and Paper Radio podcast, as well as a range of sessions designed to shine a light on the growing sector of audio on demand.

Panel sessions will offer a detailed analysis of current Australian podcast audiences, approaches to measurement, audience acquisition and retention, how traditional media are incorporating podcasting into their broadcast offer, plus future business models and commercialisation.

The conference will provide an unequalled opportunity for the Australian audio industry to work together to share best practice and insights on podcasting from an Australian and international perspective.
