Oops, Triple M gives listeners twice the station

Staff Writer

It’s the kind of thing that sends radio techs into a spin.

Two radio broadcasts playing simultaneously on one station.

That’s what happened around midday yesterday on Perth’s Triple M.

The digital station appeared to also be broadcasting the feed from Triple M Melbourne.

A Southern Cross Austereo spokesperson said: "It was a glitch that opened up a network feed. The engineering team in Perth were straight onto it."

However, a source told Radio Today the double up aired for about 45 minutes.

Have a listen.
