Nova’s Wippa hosts new Invictus Games podcast

To celebrate Sydney’s 2018 Invictus Games, NOVA Entertainment has launched a new podcast series with Nova 96.9 host Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli tapped to host.

Invictus Games – The Soldier and the Story with Wippa will see Wippa chat with inspirational Australian competitors as well as an Ambassador for the Invictus Games Curtis McGrath OAM.

The Invictus Games was founded by His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex in 2014, for wounded, injured and ill servicemen and women, both active duty and veteran.

The fourth Invictus Games will see 500 competitors from 18 nations contest medals in 11 adaptive sports. More than 1000 family and friends will accompany the competitors, with all being supported by over 1000 volunteers.

“Our men and women who represent Australia through their commitment to the services should be recognised, and their recovery supported, in as many ways possible,” said Wippa.

“Their stories should be told and need to be heard and it’s an honour for me to present them to you.”

Wippa’s list of guests also includes competitors Kevin Jacoby, Vanessa Broughill and Craig McGrath.

The podcast is produced by Two Basic Scoops Media and NOVA Entertainment, and the first episode is live now, and future episodes will be uploaded here.
