Nova’s Wippa enlists some high profile mates to promote his new book

Since announcing the launch of his first erotic novel – The Far Too Personal Trainer – Nova’s Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli has been on the promo circuit.

And he’s enlisted a number of high-profile celebrities to support the cause.

Tim Robards, Sam and Snezana Wood, Kylie Gillies and Sylvia Jeffreys are among those to read excerpts and endorse the new novel.

And this week, Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie sold the first copy of the book to raise money for the Cooper Rice-Brading Foundation, with Daniel Finch from Wotif.com securing the winning bid – $7,000.

Wippa also recruited his mate Ben Fordham at 2GB to see if Ray Hadley’s wife Sophie would be interested in a copy.

Ray has been subjected to numerous practical jokes by Fitzy & Wippa, so was not interested in promoting the book … unless Wippa booked a live read.

“If Wippa – Wiffy as he’s known to me – if he gave it to me, I’d hand it back to him,” said Ray.

While the idea of a spin off movie didn’t go quite to plan, with Russell Crowe knocking back the offer to appear in a potential film version of the script.
