Nova’s Cale Porter moves to Mix 102.3

Former Assistant Editor

Nova 91.9 Adelaide announcer Cale Porter has left the Nova Network after almost seven years.

He has been covering Workdays on Mix 102.3 Adelaide for the past few weeks.

NOVA Entertainment has confirmed that Cale no longer works at the network.

Radio Today understands that Cale, who had been presenting Afternoons from 1pm-4pm along with his role as operations assistant, departed last month.

He started out in community radio at age 14 and joined Nova in 2011.

Cale has also been the regular fill-in for Smallzy on National Nights during survey breaks, hosted Nova 96.9’s Weekends and filled in on The Fresh 40.

During his time at Nova Adelaide, his Afternoons show reached a record 14.2% share.

Sad to see Nova 919’s Afternoon Announcer was made redundant and replaced by a Melbourne Announcer…

Delighted you’ve fallen back on your feet Cale. The best is yet to come.

Adelaide Afternoons just dropped 1.7 with this show from Melbourne.

Doesn’t look like the best move NE.
