Nova sets the record straight on Sydney Breakfast radio rumours

NOVA Entertainment has set the record straight on rumours of a plan involving its Sydney Breakfast team, reportedly geared at stealing some of Kyle & Jackie O’s loyal listeners.
The network has shut down suggestions Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie might extend their show by hour, to finish at 10am instead of 9.
Addressing reports in Yahoo Lifestyle and The Daily Mail, Nova’s official response is “The stories in The Daily Mail and yahoo.com are incorrect.”
“We won’t have any further comments on it.”

The show will end in November this year anyway so what’s the difference?
Daily Mail – the “most reliable and trustworthy” news site, ever to exist.
Also, FM Breakfast radio taking their new from Daily Mail on a regular basis.
It’d take more than just extending to 10 am to prise listeners away from K&J in Sydney
How about ” One Hour Less ” of Fitzy and Wippa ?
Nova would be worried about the next survey result. The last result was a lucky ‘ dead cat bounce ‘ they will be back to their old ratings of 6 to 7 % fairly soon. It’s challenging for them up against Kyle’s show but contests and billboards will only work for so long. Nova breakfast and drive shows are off the mark.
The smart move for nova would be to run breakfast from 5am to 8am and get a start on music ahead of other shows.
Thought they were going to announce
Fitzy and Kate new duo for breakfast. They sound like Jonesy and Amanda. Would save lot of money.
Is Fitzy still doing the show from his home in Adelaide?
Fitzy has one foot out the door broadcasting from his new house in Adelaide. Who does he think he is, Kyle ?
Fitzy& Wippa make more sense on Triple M
I’m not loyal to any show, I flick around on the way to work. If something is engaging or funny, I’ll stay. I never hang around long with Nova in the morning. The hysterical laughs, banter all seems disingenuous

As I thought Nova in Sydney now rate 6%. It’s a race to the bottom. 2Dayfm versus Nova.
Nova had never performed very well. Nova Melbourne willl fall by the wayside too by the end of this year which will be a problem for Nova having poor performers in Melbourne and Sydney which attracts 70% of radio revenue.
