Ready, Set, Slide

Nova has partnered with Slidestreet to celebrate the Australia Day weekend by taking one of Australia’s iconic traditions to a whole new level with Australia’s first 315 metre slip ‘n’ slide popping up in the CBD in Melbourne tomorrow and Sydney on Monday. 

The slide bumps in at midnight tonight and will be ready for thrill seekers to slip ‘n’ slide down Lansdowne Street in Fitzroy Gardens from 9am tomorrow. 

Nova 100's breakfast team Meshel & Tommy, Nova’s Deano and smoothfm’s Mike Perso, Jennifer Hansen and Simon Diaz will then join celebrities, clients and media guests for a special session from 12pm.

The crew will then dismantle the slide overnight and take it to Sydney for their Nova Slidestreet experience on Monday 26 January.

In Sydney Guy Sebastian will perform the national anthem at 9am to officially open Nova Slidestreet with Fitzy & Wippa joining the fun after 9.00am. 

Nova Slidestreet is a slide that’s more than a ride. The event will offer food trucks, live Nova broadcasts, DJs, a pop up bar in Melbourne and more to keep participants entertained.

Slidestreet premiered in the heart of the Perth Central Business District last month.
