NOVA Entertainment has promoted two senior executives within its commercial team.

Luke Minto elevates from Sydney commercial director to group commercial director, and Nova 93.7 sales director, Antonell Doyle, is now Perth commercial director.

Minto joined NOVA in 2004 and has held the role of Sydney commercial director for seven years.

Minto will have joint responsibility for revenue generation with national commercial strategy director, Kate Murphy, and group yield and inventory manager, Michael Duncan.

In a statement, Peter Charlton said Minto’s passion and commitment to NOVA have been instrumental to the commercial success of the Sydney team.

“Luke is highly respected by the commercial team around the country and his appointment to this national role is a well-deserved recognition of his hard work,” Charlton said.

Minto’s new role was created following the announcement that Peter Charlton will succeed Cathy O’Connor as CEO in November. He will also manage the commercial directors in all markets.

Minto, pictured above, said the opportunity to lead the sales team nationally has been a long-term career goal and one that he will embrace.

“NOVA’s sales team is market-leading in its reputation for delivering exceptional service and solutions for clients in every market and we will continue to evolve and build on this already solid platform of success which was created and lead by Peter Charlton,” Minto said.

Doyle, pictured above, has played an instrumental role in the commercial success of Nova 93.7 and takes on the expanded remit to lead the agency and direct commercial team in Perth.

“We have a strong team and will work together to create, not only value for our clients but continued results for their brands. I am passionate about this new role and looking forward to taking on the challenge,” Doyle said.

Charlton will continue to oversee the commercial team when he becomes the broadcaster’s chief in November, with Minto and Doyle also beginning their new roles on November 2.

In a recent interview with Radio Today, O’Connor said fresh leadership is “a great thing” for NOVA, with Charlton bringing “a wealth of experience and insights”.
