Vivid Sydney makes its return this weekend, and a giant Nova Boy drone display will fill the night sky this Sunday night as part of the festivities.

NOVA Entertainment is partnering with Vivid Sydney, with the festival to include a spectacular show above Circular Quay this Sunday, June 9.

As part of the collaboration with program partner Australian Traffic Network (ATN), Sydney’s skies will be transformed on June 8, 9 and 15.

Titled Love is in the Air, a fleet of over 700 drones will form universal symbols of love in stunning colours and formations across the night sky.

The drone show on Sunday will include a display from NOVA Entertainment.

NOVA Entertainment’s Chief Growth Officer Adam Johnson says “We’re delighted to collaborate with Vivid Sydney for the Vivid Sydney drone show and for a third consecutive year.”

“The Vivid Sydney drone show celebrates the fusion of art and technology, which perfectly complements NOVA’s mission to innovate and entertain.”

“And having a giant Nova Boy in the sky is also just unbelievably cool. We can’t wait to bring the love on Sunday.”

Vivid Sydney Festival Director Gill Minervini says “The support from our sponsors is essential to bringing Vivid Sydney to life and creating a truly unforgettable experience for festivalgoers. Thanks to our partners, we have raised the bar on the scale of the festival to showcase the vibrancy and creativity of Sydney.”

The concept and direction for Love is in the Air is by Vivid Sydney Festival Director Gill Minervini, drone technology is by Australian Traffic Network (ATN) and the soundtrack is by producer and DJ PeeWee Ferris.

Do they really think this will cut through to gain more listeners?! What a huge spend. How about just retaining staff by paying them their worth so you have the best product.

Why though ? Would Nova be better focusing on their content and ratings. terrible round for them and more bad ratings to come. Oh dear poor Nova owner would not be happy.

With all the news about inappropriate behaviour at Nine and now Seven, there may be a couple of very nervous radio executives hoping the focus doesn’t turn to radio.
