Nova 96.9’s Fitzy announced as Raise Foundation ambassador

Nova 96.9 Breakfast host Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald has joined youth mentoring foundation Raise as an ambassador.

Raise puts together school mentoring programs to help the welbeing of young people through early intervention.

Fitzy first got involved with Raise when he became part of the foundation’s new, national creative campaign Letters To My Mentor.

The campaign was developed by creative agency Channelzero on behalf of Raise to broaden awareness and drive mentor recruitment.

In the campaign, Fitzy shares a letter to his own mentor: “You underestimate how important having a mentor is in your adolescence.

“It’s very hard to comprehend how many children don’t have anyone that they can trust and talk to. Raise is a saviour, the volunteers that mentor these children are heroes.”

Fitzy spoke about the mentorship program on Nova 96.9 Breakfast, and the impact mentorship has had on his relationship with his father.
