Newcastle Survey #2 – Results Released

Survey #2 for Newcastle 2015 is out, with some significant movements amongst the stations, and a new #1

ABC1233 is the new number 1 station in Newcastle. By 0.1%, they have taken the lead from KOFM. The ABC secured a 14.8 ten plus share of the market, up 1.2 points on Survey 1. The ABC again wins breakfast with a 1.7 point jump to hold a 20% share of Newcastle. 

SCA’s KO FM remains the number 1 Commercial station, but took a hit 10 plus to pull 14.7%. Overall they are number 2 in the market.  It’s the second survey in a row that KO FM breakfast has lost ground. Survey 2 sees them lose a further 1.6 points taking them down to 15.9%. That said they are still number 2 overall but trail the ABC by over four points.

NXFM is up a touch, now holding 10.9% of the market ten plus. SCA would be very happy with the breakfast show. Up nearly 2 points to 9.6 and ever so close to cracking double figures. Increases also in Mornings and Afternoon but down in Drive and Nights.

NEW FM gained .4 to take their share ten plus to 8.9% of the market. Stablemate 2HD is off the ball a little this round, down to 9.8, now placing them fifth in the market overall.

For triplej, they had a good book up 1.1 to pull an even 11% ten plus.
