New talk-free classic ABC station launched today

ABC Classic FM launched a new station today.

ABC Classic 2 is a talk-free station aiming to introduce classical music to a new online audience.

The service will showcase ABC Classics’ catalogue of Australian music performance, playing classical favourites and putting names to familiar tunes.

Classic 2 will provide classical music in a playlist format for digital and mobile.

The station will be an un-presented continuous stream and will be supported by a blog which will aim to entertain and inform with the stories behind the music makers.
