New PD for Star 104.5

Dan King is moving from Nova 969, where he was Network Nights Audio Producer, to his hometown to be Program Director of Star 104.5.

Dan has been in radio for 12 years and has been an announcer as well as worked in production.

Paul Jackson, dmg Radio Australia Group PD said:

“We place great importance on developing talent within the organisation so are truly delighted to promote Dan to this key role at Star 104.5. Not only is it a great move for Dan, but this creates an amazing opportunity in Sydney for a top producer to join Nova.”

Dan said:

“Having learnt so much working with the excellent team at Nova in Sydney I’m looking forward to returning home for this next exciting step in an industry that I love. I can’t wait to work with the entire team at Star 104.5.”

Dan will start in his new role on March 18.

It is unclear what has happened to Andrew Peterson, who was only in the PD's role at Star 104.5 for 5 months.
