New partnership puts country music centre stage

Radio network Kix Country and online news source Countrytown are joining forces, bringing together their audiences to provide an unparalleled platform for promoting country music artists.

The partnership will create the Kix CountrytownCentre Stage’ initiative, shining a light on a single artist every week across all platforms including online features, airplay and social support. As part of the partnership, Countrytown will also provide a news feed to the Kix Country website, expanding the reach of their popular country music news coverage.

“This partnership is built on the foundation of two organisations passionate about furthering country music, pooling resources to make an even bigger impact for artists,”says Kix Country Content Director Justin Thomson.

“Countrytown’s reputation in supporting artists and breaking the big country music stories is the perfect match for our network of radio stations across Australia.”

“Working together to amplify artists gives us the ability to not only give them some promo, but to create a moment that can make a real difference in an artist’s campaign and ultimately their career,” says Countrytown editor Mallory Arbour.

“Our organisations are aligned in wanting to see country music have its mainstream moment in Australian culture and by working together we can help our musicians get one step closer to that goal.”

‘Centre Stage’ artists will be selected collaboratively by both Kix and Countrytown each week and announced on Monday’s Kix Live broadcast, which will be available on Facebook on both the Kix and Countrytown pages.

The first ‘Centre Stage’ artist will be revealed this Monday night on Kix Live at 7pm on the Kix Country and Countrytown Facebook pages.
