New Lights, so planes don’t bash into it

The Grant Broadcasters KRock and BAY FM transmission tower near Geelong, made Seven News last night.

The tower’s glowing light bits needed a change, and so up went a couple of guys, 120 metres, to replace them.

Seven was on hand to cover as Grant’s Chief Network Engineer John Sandles gave a bit of a wrap on the swap. Outside of making the tower easier to see, it will also impact the bottom line using less power. Video below.
