New Facebook feature making podcasts more accessible

Facebook is now inviting podcast creators to share their podcasts on the platform, allowing hosts to distribute their audio via RSS feeds on their Facebook page.

Podcasts will then be accessible via a tab on the creator’s Facebook page and will automatically update with new content as it becomes available.

“By adding your podcasts to your Page, people can listen to every episode directly on Facebook,” said Facebook.

“There’s no need to upload or link to anything. Your Page updates with your latest episodes as they become available. You can also unpublish or remove your podcasts at any time.”

New episode updates will be automatically shared with followers when new content is released.

“Whenever you publish a new episode, your Page shares it to your followers’ News Feeds too,” said Facebook.

“Add your podcasts today by going to your Page settings to add your RSS feed and confirm your ownership.”

The feature is currently available to US users, with plans to expand to all users in the near future.

The company also hosts a directory of podcasts on its platform that promotes new episodes.
