Network Ten breaks into the world of podcasts with ’10 Speaks’

Former Assistant Editor

Network Ten has launched the first podcast from its new podcast platform called ’10 Speaks’ in partnership with Acast.

The first podcast is called Professor and The Hack and features Ten’s political editor Peter Van Onselen and national affairs editor Hugh Riminton.

The new weekly show is set to unpack everything in Aussie politics.

Ten CEO Paul Anderson said launching the podcast now made sense in the lead up to the federal election.

“It makes sense for us to extend the great content we have into the booming podcasting area,” Anderson says.

Acast will take care of hosting all 10 Speaks content, as well as advertising.

“Podcasting in Australia has moved far beyond its infancy, with listener numbers continuing to grow year on year,” said Acast content director Guy Scott-Wilson.

“It’s exciting to see iconic Aussie media companies like Network Ten entering the podcasting space.

“We’re delighted to partner with Network Ten on 10 Speaks, helping them usher in a new era of on-demand audio content.”

Acast also currently has a deal with NOVA Entertainment.
